I have 24 years and I can tell you that these shoes are not just for seniors! 66 these years my mom gave me as a gift (from bealls, were like 60 bucks, ouch!) because he loved her so much torque. She has arthritis, osteoporosis and a knee prosthesis, so these shoes are a pleasure for her to useand me too. I purchased these shoes as I recently had ankle surgery and will not be possible to where ' heels ' anytime soon. I'm still in a cast on my foot hurts. but I needed something can expand inflation once the cast comes off and comfortable. currently I am only wearing only one shoe on the foot well and is very spacious and very comfortable. "borderline" is too broad (hence the ' soft line ') but I know I have to host the coming months of the ankle swelling
